Crunchy muesli with nuts and proteins is an ideal breakfast or mid-meal, rich in fibre, protein and healthy fats. The combination of oats, nuts, seeds and dried fruits makes it not only nutritious but also extremely tasty. Nuts are a great source of healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. Prepared with shake mix Formula 1 Balanced shake mix with Vanilla cream flavor and Beta heart® – for an even richer intake of protein and fiber, this muesli is a balanced and tasty breakfast at any time of the day.*

Products required:

  • 2 servings (52 g) Formula 1 Balanced Shake Mix with Vanilla Cream flavor
  • 8 servings (61 g) Herbalife Beta Heart
  • 125 g of coconut oil
  • 150 ml honey or agave syrup
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 500 g oat nuts or a mixture of barley, wheat and rye nuts
  • 100 g of almonds (filleted)
  • 100 g of cashews (chopped coarsely)
  • 100 g desiccated coconut
  • 100 g of pumpkin seeds
  • 100 g of sunflower seeds
  • 250 g dried fruit (e.g. dried dates, figs, apricots, raisins, chopped)

Method of preparation:

  1. Preheat the oven to 170° C (150° C fan).
  2. Melt the coconut oil, honey (or agave syrup), and vanilla extract in a saucepan.
  3. Combine the oats, almonds, cashews, coconut and pumpkin and sunflower seeds in a large bowl.
  4. Add the melted coconut oil and honey (or agave syrup) and mix well until evenly mixed.
  5. Spread the muesli in a large tray and bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until the nuts and grains are pale golden.
  6. Stir it in the oven every 5 minutes so it browns evenly.
  7. Remove the tray from the oven and allow the muesli to cool in the tray, stirring frequently again.
  8. When cool, add dried fruit, Formula 1 Balanced Shake Mix with Vanilla Cream flavor and Beta heart®.
  9. Stir well and pour into a well-closed container. Store at room temperature. It is recommended to consume up to one month.

Tips:

  • You can also add other nuts, seeds or dried fruits according to your taste.
  • For a more spicy taste, add some cinnamon or ginger.
  • You can prepare a larger quantity of muesli and store it for a longer time.
