Products required:
- 2 servings (15 g) Herbalife Beta Heart
- 2 servings (12g) Herbalife Custom Formula 3 Protein Powder
- 125 g fortified wholemeal flour
- 125 g of organic fortified white flour
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ½ teaspoon ground coriander
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon ground paprika (you can use smoked paprika – hot or sweet)
- 125 ml warm water
- 50 ml of olive oil
Method of preparation:
- Pour all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix them together. Make a well in the center.
- In a well of the dry ingredients mixture, pour the water and olive oil mixture. Mix well until all ingredients form a homogeneous dough.
- Place the dough on a work surface and knead with your hands for about 5-7 minutes – until you get a thick mixture. Do not add additional flour while kneading the dough.
- Rub a little olive oil into the ball of dough, cover it and let it “rest” for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 6 and roll each dough ball (while keeping the rest of the dough covered with a tea towel) into a 20cm circle.
- Preheat grill or pan until hot.
- Bake/fry the patties, one at a time, in a hot pan for a few minutes on each side. Check: small dark brown spots should appear.
- Immediately wrap the finished pies in a clean towel. Pies can be stacked on top of each other, tightly wrapped – the steam will keep them hot longer. And even so, they will remain irresistibly soft.
- Serve whole or cut into strips and enjoy with your favorite sauce.
Tips:
- For a softer dough, you can add a little more olive oil.
- You can add other spices to your taste, such as garlic powder or ginger.
- To make the pies fluffier, you can add a little baking powder to the mixture.
- You can bake the pies in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10-12 minutes.
